A bit about me
I’m James, a Brit who loves technology, innovation, learning and travel. I started my IT career in early 2000’s and worked across in-house IT operations and Professional / Managed Services roles. For the last 10 years I have been in vendor presales at Zscaler and Cisco:

- EMEA Solutions Architect - Global Systems Integrators (Cisco)
- EMEA Senior Sales Engineering Leader - GSIs, Consulting & Industry Partners (Cisco)

This path has provided me the opportunity to learn and develop new skills along the way.
From a technology standpoint I have knowledge in many domains: applications, infrastructure, security, networking, hyperscaler cloud platforms and different-vendors. I’m equally skilled leading business, commercial and partner / customer sales discussions.
A bit about what I do
I work in a UKI Sales Engineering Leadership role aligned to Zscaler’s Major and Enterprise accounts. This involves leading a team of Sales Engineers who support our customer to understand the value or the platform, and how it can address their use-cases to provide business value, agility and better employee experience. Value conversations cover the following domains:
Applications | Cloud Infrastructure / Workloads | IoT | Mobile | Security | WAN
Work spans technology value, business value, customer delight and sales; engagement ranges from C-level, to senior management, technology leads and hands-on engineers. This allows me to be creative, challenge the norms, teach, be a leader and coach, learn, be part of a team, keep abreast of technology and have fun!
